PRODUCT STRUCTURE

The advantages of SAVA Offset Printing Blankets originate from their structure. While Sava’s competitors install two or three textile plies in an offset printing blanket to provide its dimension stability, the bottom textile in a printing offset blanket manufactured by the Print programme is substituted for a special polyester cord ply (patented structure) of far better physical properties.

SINKING
A printing blanket incorporating a textile structure is pressed through its life cycle, on account of which it looses its thickness. The thickness of the textile-structured blanket amounts to 1.95 mm and through its life cycle it sinks to up to 1.85 mm (0.1 mm). However, the sinking with Sava offset printing blankets is negligible and amounts to 0.03 mm.

STRETCHING
Although a pre-stretched textile is used, a printing blanket with a textile carcass is still slightly stretchable. On the other hand, threads in the polyester cord keep their stability therefore no additional tensioning during the printing process is required.

COMPRESSIBILITY AND DEFORMATION
Thicker rubber layers in the structure of Sava printing blankets ensure excellent recovery from smashes. Even though the squeeze pressure on a blanket is higher, the blanket recovers much faster once after pressure is released. Moreover, the blanket is better resistant to edge marking and provides a sharper dot reproduction.

Owing to their characteristics as well as printers’ experience in practice, the offset printing blankets manufactured by the Print programme are noted for a much longer life cycle than other printing blankets.
