SELF -EXTINGUISHING (FIRE and FLAME RESISTANT) CONVEYOR BELTS

At conveying of bulk solids difficulties can sometimes arise such as self-ignition of either the conveyed goods or the conveyor belt itself. Therefore SAVA experts have developed special types of self-extinguishing rubber to raise safety to the highest degree.

With regard to the application there are four types of conveyor belts available:

K type: flame resistant with rubber cover according to DIN EN ISO 340:2007 and antistatic according to DIN EN ISO 284:2004
K-MOR type: medium resistant to oil and grease, flame resistant with rubber cover according to DIN EN ISO 340:2007 and antistatic according to DIN EN ISO 284:2004
S type: flame resistant with and without rubber cover according to DIN EN ISO 340:2007 and antistatic according to DIN EN ISO 284:2004
S-MOR type: medium resistant to oil and grease, flame resistant with and without rubber cover according to DIN EN ISO 340:2007 and antistatic according to DIN EN ISO 284:2004

heating stations, power stations and garbage incinerating plants
coal loading, coal transportation
steelworks and foundries
closed conveyors
flammable goods
potentially explosive areas
near flame sources
tunnel constructions
